WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A leading White House adviser mentioned on Thursday that he expects TikTok to independent from its Chinese operator and operate as an American business amid developing U.S. considerations about the protection of the information dealt with by the shorter movie app.
White Home economic adviser Larry Kudlow advised reporters a shift by TikTok to leave Beijing ByteDance Technological know-how Co, would be a greater option than a ban on the app, which was threatened by Condition Section Secretary Mike Pompeo earlier this month.
