The 100 is an American dystopian science fiction television web series, created by Jason Rothenberg. Originally premiering on The CW Network, the show is also available to stream on Netflix. Moreover, it is partially based on the novel by Kass Morgan.
On 30th September, the show premiered the very last episode of the show, “The Last War”. And, the fans are still not over the ending and they were clearly not expecting to see some old faces which we have loved throughout the series. Creator, Jason Rothenberg recently got interviewed where he revealed all of his plans for the finale and how well they executed.
So, let’s find out more:
Rothenberg’s Comment On Lexa’s Character And Closure.
Undoubtedly, the fans were shocked after seeing Lexa (Debnam-Carey) on the finale. Fans have always loved Lexa and her death was one of the most heartbreaking scenes on the show. After Lexa was dead, she was frequently mentioned on the show, as she was the Heda (Commander). But, the fans still didn’t get any closure, especially for her relationship with the lead Clarke (Eliza Taylor).
When asked about her return to the finale, Rothenberg said, that Lexa was the greatest love and teacher to Clarke and it was necessary for her to come for one last time. He later told that Alycia [Debnam-Carey] was very excited about coming back and giving some closure to the fans.
A Prequel? Everything We Know So Far…
While talking to Deadline, Rothenberg also opened about the possible prequel. He said that nothing is confirmed yet, but the team is still discussing it at the highest level. He said, “I think probably I’d be talking out of turn if I mentioned where those conversations were happening, unfortunately, but there is a chance, a good chance, I guess, that it could come back”.
As for the story, he said the prequel might revolve around much older times, on the ark with Bellamy and Clarke’s great-great-grandparents. In the end, he said that they will be very lucky to get it ordered.
