The Popular Pixiv Comic “Pompo: The Cinéphile” was announced to receive an Anime Adaptation back in August of 2017, it was later on revealed that the Anime Adaptation will be a film. The movie was set to premiere this year but in a recent announcement on the Official Website of the film, it was said to be delayed to next year. The announcement also included new information about the Cast, Staff along with other important details regarding the film.

The Story follows the life of a Production Assistant, Gene Fini, who is learning the art of moviemaking under a genius Director, Pompo. Gene Fini is an extremely detailed person who keeps extensive records of each and every film he watches but still feels like he can’t make it as a Director. When he is about to give up on his dreams, Pompo decides to support him and pushes him into his first gig as a Director. The story is pretty much about the beauty and art of Filmmaking, providing interesting appeal towards the behind the scenes of movies for a change.

Pompo: The Cinéphile – Release Date

According to the Official Website of the film, the Movie “Pompo: The Cinéphile” will be premiering in theaters on the 19th Of March 2021. The Website also announced the Cast for the film along with its Staff, while also releasing a teaser for the film and a key visual.

The film will be handled by Studio CLAP and will be Directed by Takayuki Hirao while the Character Designs for the anime film will be taken care of by Shingo Adachi.

She will be voicing the character of Joelle Davidovich “Pompo” Pomponett from “Pompo: The Cinéphile”. She is also known for voicing Chika Fujiwara from “Kaguya-sama: Love is War”.

Rinka Ōtani

She will be voicing the character of Nathalie Woodward from “Pompo: The Cinéphile”.

Ai Kakuma

She will be voicing the character of Mystia from “Pompo: The Cinéphile”. She is also known for voicing Hikari Mariya from “Campione!”.

Akio Ohtsuka 

He will be voicing the character of Martin Braddock from “Pompo: The Cinéphile”. He is also known for voicing Marshall D. Teach/Blackbeard from “One Piece”.
