Pokémon Journeys: The Series Announced New Broadcast Timings For The Show

Pokémon Journeys: The Series Will Air New Episodes On Friday's Instead Of Sundays From October.

The Pokémon Anime Franchise returned for its 23rd season titled, Pokémon Journeys: The Series, which began airing back in November of 2019. The Anime is still going strong but it was announced on the official website that from October 9th onwards the anime will air on Fridays 6:55pm instead of on Sundays.

The YouTube Channel of Pokémon also released a commercial to make this announcement. The video consists of a Golden Pikachu with the aim of making a clever play of words. Friday in Japanese is called “Kinyobi” and the word “Kin” in Japanese also means Gold, hence the Gold Pikachu in the commercial.

 

It was also recently announced that Netflix has obtained the U.S rights to air future Pokémon seasons. This means the already released 24 episodes are available on Netflix from the 12th of September 2020. More episodes of the show will be released quarterly.

The Cast For The Anime (Dubbed) Include:

Sarah Natochenny will be voicing the character of Ash Ketchum.

Zeno Robinson (Known for voicing the role of Hawks from My Hero Academia eng dub) will be voicing the character of Goh.

Cherami Leigh (Known for voicing the role of Anaak Jahad from Tower Of God eng dub) will be voicing the character of Chloe.

The Anime Pokémon Journeys: The Series was put on hold on back in April of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. From April 26th to May 31st in the time slot of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, reruns of old episodes of Pokémon were being broadcasted on TV Tokyo.

The Anime finally returned to airing new episodes weekly from the 7th of June 2020 and has been releasing episodes continuously ever since.

With the release of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, a total of 23 Anime Seasons of Pokémon have been released. Comprising of a whopping 1,121 episodes made, dating as far back as 1997 when the first season began airing.

The New Season of Pokémon will be handled by Studio OLM and will be Directed by Maki Kodaira and the Script for the show will be written by Shoji Yonemura.

The Story picks up from right where Pokémon Sun and Moon ended, Ash who has now finally become a Pokémon Master decides to complete his Pokémon adventure by completing the Pokédex.

Currently, Ash and the new Pokémon trainer from Vermillion City named Goh are exploring the Galar Region, the region based on the game Pokémon Sword and Shield, along with the other 7 regions of the Pokémon franchise. Goh is obsessed with capturing a Mew and is learning how to be a better Pokémon trainer along the way.
