Matcha Hazuki's Manga series "One Week Friends" Announced To Receive A Live Action Project Abroad.
Written and illustrated by Matcha Hazuki, One Week Friends or Isshuukan Friends is a Japanese Manga Series that was serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan JOKER Magazine back in January of 2012 and ran for a good three years before coming to a conclusion in 2015. With a total of 7 volumes released containing 41 chapters.
The plot follows a girl named Kaori Fujimiya, who has a mental condition that makes all her happy memories, and the time she spends with her friends gets completely wiped every Monday. This makes it very hard for her to maintain friends and is pushed into unwanted loneliness, since nobody knows how to deal with her.
Yuki Hase, who is from the same year as Kaori, becomes interested in her and wants to know more about her. Once he learns about her condition, he becomes determined to keep becoming her friend even if she forgets about him. Wanting to help her out and trying to create a memory with her that she will never forget becomes Yuki’s goal and despite how hard it gets, he wants to genuinely become her friend.
Anime Adaptation | One Week Friends
The Anime Adaptation for Matcha Hazuki’s manga “One Week Friends” was aired in April of 2014 and was handled by Brain’s Base Studio. The television series was directed by Tarou Iwasaki, Written by Shotaro Suga and The Music was handled by Nobuko Toda.

Yuki Hase is voiced by Yoshitaka Yamaya who has also played the voice of Tomohito Sugino from Assassination Classroom, Itsuki Tadano from Ace Of Diamond Series and Tatsumi from Noragami Aragoto
Kaori Fujimiya is voiced by Sora Amamiya who has also played the voice of Akame from Akame Ga Kill!, Aqua from Konosuba, and Touka Kirishima from Tokyo Ghoul.
Shogo Kiryu is voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya who has also played the voice of Reiner Braun from Attack On Titan, Azumane from Haikyuu!! and Hyuuga Junpei from Kuroko No Basuke.
Saki Yamagishi is voiced by Rumi Ōkubo who has also played the voice of Kotetsu from Tsugumomo, Aguri from Gamers! and Tamako Arai from Barakamon.
Hajime Kujō is voiced by Shintarō Asanuma who has also played the voice of Takatoshi Tsuda from Seitokai Yakuindomo, Hiroto Maehara from Assassination Classroom and Hiromi Iwasa from Baby Steps.
Live-Action Film | One Week Friends
Directed by Shōsuke Murakami and written by Yōko Izumisawa, the Live-Action Film was directed in Japan and aired back in 2017. The movie was pretty well done and had a very fitting cast for it.
Now, nothing much is known about the new Live Action Project other than that its production has begun Overseas but more will be brought to light with the new issue of the magazine.
