Russian figure skater Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya, who competed for Australia in the 2018 Wintertime Olympics, died in Moscow according to the International Skating Union. She was 20.
No lead to of dying was disclosed but a report out of Russia reported she died in a tumble on Friday. The ISU declared her death on Saturday.
Alexandrovskaya reportedly retired from competitive skating in February immediately after splitting from Australian lover Harley Windsor. The duo initial started skating together in 2016, winning the entire world junior title in 2017.
Alexandrovskaya was granted Australian citizenship so that the duo could skate jointly at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. They finished in 18th put.
