Lucid Air To Reach A Quarter-Mile In Less Than 10 Seconds
Lucid Leap Still
Lucid has made another statement about its performance of the car that soon going to be unveiled. The company has made several attractive insights about its first electric vehicle that’s gonna hit the road in September of this year. The company started making its progress in manufacturing the electric vehicle since 2015. Earlier the company has claimed much bold information about the car. It’s said that the car could able to reach the highest mile with a single charge than any other electric till date has ever reached. This announcement was spoken widely by many worldwide electric vehicle enthusiasts. Charging of the car was frequently claimed to have the fastest ever charged, that it gets popped up with a short span of time. The lithium-Ion battery was used to save the electron needed for power while driving. The bottom portion of the car comes with the biggest battery capable to supply energy for a longer run.
California-based company, Newark also claimed that they had developed the quickest production car. In addition to the previous leaks, the company has also added that their newly developed could able to reach half a mile in under 10 seconds. The company has already announced that Lucid Air can reach from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, which on an analytical note, has to produce a top speed of 200 mph. With the help of dual-motor configuration combined together to produce 1,080 horsepower, the manufacturer claims that the electric vehicle could able to reach a quarter-mile in 9.9 seconds. Its added that the vehicle could reach this range “on a consistent, repeatable basis.”. The company has made a statement that to date, this is the first car that could able to achieve a quarter-mile in just 10 seconds. This achievement is something that many high powered petrol engines fail to achieve.
On analyzing the history of automobile combustible engine cars, Dodge Challenger was the only car that could able to come near this mark to make the quarter-mile in 9.65 seconds. This margin is achieved with the help of a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which falls under the high specification automobile car that’s ever produced. These cars were available between 1980 and 1989. There are also a few other cars which could able to achieve this margin. It’s noted that all these cars are powered by combustible engines that require much mechanical power and comes with a high cost. Ferrari LaFerrari was tested and reported that the car could able to reach a quarter-mile in just 9.8 seconds, which costs around $1.4 million. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, popularly known as the world’s fastest car, could able to reach a quarter-mile in 9.7 seconds, which was initially priced at $2.4 million.
To date, we don’t have any official announcement about the price details of the electric vehicle, Lucid Air. On a rough estimate, it’s expected that the car might cost around $70,000 to $100,000. The company has been announcing the features and specifications of the car for the past few years. In 2017, Lucid claimed that the car could able to reach the maximum speed of 217 mph; this achievement was soon updated that the vehicle could able to reach the 235mph, after removing the vehicle’s speed-limiting software which went to a serious debit. Its should be taken into account that, Tesla recently made a statement that their Tesla Model S performance could able to reach a quarter-mile in 10.4 seconds. Even though it’s less when compared to the new Lucid Air, its something which comes near the margin in the electric vehicle category.
