Black Widow Delayed to 2021, Release Date and Announcements

One of the original members of the Marvel Avengers, Black Widow, has seen her role slowly and slowly dwindle into becoming a side character. Even though she had seen the spotlight being taken away from her, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is doing justice to her character by giving Black Widow her first solo movie. Although the movie was originally set to premiere in theatres this year, the release had to be postponed until next year. In this article, we’ll be looking into what all we know so far about Black Widow and her first solo movie.

Black Widow | Premise

This movie being the first solo film of Black Widow carries a lot of meaning behind it. Aside from its being a movie that sheds light on the female lead of the Avengers, it also carries a social message, empowering women with its representation. The story is set after the Civil War and before the start of the Infinity War. Natasha, a.k.a, Black Widow, heads back to her roots at the KGB, trying to figure out who and what she’s trying to do. She then comes across the Main Antagonist of the Movie, Taskmaster, who is brainwashing young girls and turning them into Assassins.

We will be getting to see the past of Natasha Romanova and how she grew up in Russia while being trained by the KGB and why she had left in the first place. This movie will definitely expand upon the holes in Black Widow’s past that many fans since its preview have been excited about.

Black Widow | Release Date

Initially, the “Black Widow” movie was slated to hit the theatres on the 6th of November 2020, but due to the unforeseen COVID-19 Pandemic, it has been delayed. The movie will be reaching theaters on the 7th of May 2021, so stay tuned. With the release of this movie, the MCU has now released 24 Movies, and from its looks, it will be receiving a lot of support from fans. Along with the release date, a trailer for the movie has been released as well.

Black Widow | Cast And Crew

With the movie being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we can expect it to come out quite well. Cate Shortland will direct the Movie Black Widow, and the Screenplay will be taken care of by Jae Schaeffer, Ned Benson, and Eric Pearson.

Scarlett Johansson will be starring as Natasha Romanova, along with her partner Yelena Belova who is played by Florence Pugh, will be chasing after Taskmaster.

As far as we know, the movie is in its post-production phase and will be released soon, making it very exciting for the fans. Especially since the way Black Widow came to an end during the Infinity War, so hopefully they do her good and make this movie extremely good.
