MICE News Philippines is the independent website for the nation’s meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

Two years old, we gather the sector’s news, highlight its trends, and introduce you to the people who are putting the Philippines on the global events map.

We follow these leaders’ careers, examine their strategies, and invite them to comment on the sector’s direction. Interactive and open to all, MICE News Philippines  welcomes comments and discussions.

We are a hobby website

Some people say we look professional, but we’re just a tiny hobby website, reporting trade news on an old laptop on the family kitchen table in Dasmariñas, Cavite. However, we love researching and writing up the MICE sector and watching it grow. We are honored that Google News has given us accreditation, and our mission is to write useful, helpful stories that can help the development of our nation’s MICE industry.

Who runs the website?

MICE News Philippines is the brainchild of retired British journalist William Wadsworth, who is also a member of the Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives.

Can we advertise?

No. MICE News Philippines is strictly amateur, and shall remain so in 2017. Why? Because the Philippine MICE industry is still reviving, and our specialised  readership is still tiny. Our annual budget for this hobby is also about US$500 a year, so let’s not get carried away!

Do you charge money for press coverage?

Who are your readers?

A few representatives of airlines; association and corporate executives; the representatives of convention and exhibition venues; MICE event organisers; convention bureaus; national, provincial and municipal tourism offices; destination management companies; hotel and resort staff; incentive tour operators; event planners; travel agencies; tour operators; and one or two other members of the media. Some of our most regular readers say they are still at college, and keen on MICE.

We also publish our Google Analytics readership figures on Twitter.

Salamat!

Thank you!
